CHARLES HAY, AIA
PRINCIPAL
As managing partner, Charlie is responsible for overall firm direction and operations and is focused on excellence in the design, production, and delivery of architectural services. Charlie is involved in the administrative aspects of each project and he directly guides many of the firm’s K- 12 school projects. His experience also extends to such unique challenges as the award-winning Aldrich Museum and buildings on the campuses of the Carol School for the Blind and Endicott College.
Charlie earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
JEFFREY M HOOVER, AIA
PRINCIPAL
Jeffrey Hoover specializes in programming, planning, and design of learning environments, with a particular focus on libraries. Mr. Hoover has been actively involved with architectural conferences and symposiums throughout the world, speaking on: future libraries, historic renovations and additions, and the influence of technology on the practice of architecture. He has been an instructor for Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design’s Office of Executive Education, teaching Library Planning and Design, since 1999. Jeff has recently been Chair of the Architecture for Public Libraries Committee for the American Library Association and is a current committee member.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon.
CHRIS BLESSEN, AIA, LEED AP
PRINCIPAL
Chris Blessen has been the project manager for some of our largest, most technically challenging projects, and has worked for the past 14 years to develop projects from feasibility through construction. His experience working with public and private owners and many regulatory agencies and advocacy groups gives him an understanding of and commitment to the multitude of interested parties that come together for a project to be successful. This variety of project types has brought Chris to a place of deep passion for lifetime learning. His efforts thus far have been toward creating environments that are rich in resources and that encourage a wide degree of learning and information sharing between individuals.
Chris earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Boston Architectural College.
CESAR DEDIOS, AIA, LEED AP
PRINCIPAL
Cesar leads the firm’s commitment to quality control and excellence in the production of contract documents. He has a sophisticated understanding of technical detailing as well as current code requirements and sustainable design guidelines. His focus includes oversight of the completion of documents and sustainable design goals for all of the firm’s projects. He is also involved in projects under construction, ensuring continuity at all phases from design through completion. For the past 20 years, Cesar has overseen the largest and most complex public projects that the firm has executed.
Cesar earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Boston Architectural College.
JEN LITTLEFIELD, AIA, LEED AP
ASSOCIATE
Jen specializes in construction administration and has been involved in many of the firm’s larger projects in the field. This role allows her to communicate project progress and lessons learned during construction back to the office so that the firm’s ongoing construction documents are kept up to date and follow best practices. In addition to construction administration, she also leads the specification and procurement efforts for fixtures and furnishings on many projects.
Jen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Roger Williams University.
MATTHEW BARNHART
ASSOCIATE
Matt has been a project manager for both our school and library projects. He has extensive experience in the production of architectural documents and is an in-house leader in guiding the firms BIM processes. The experience of managing projects from design through completion combined with an expertise in producing excellent documents for complex projects makes Matt an important asset to the firm and to the clients he works with.
Matt earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Roger Williams University.
WENDY HYNES, NCIDQ, RID, IIDA
DIRECTOR OF INTERIOR DESIGN
Wendy serves as the Director of Interior Design leading the interiors approach on many of the firm’s school and library projects. With more than 20 years of experience, she combines research and industry knowledge with the Owner’s desires to bring the highest level of design to the project team. Her role begins with initial programming, space planning, concept development, color and material palettes, furniture selections and continues through construction and project completion.
Wendy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan.
