For 3 decades, Tappé Architects and Library Design Director Jeffrey Hoover have Instructed the Library Design Course at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design Executive Education program. This year, entitled Future Library Design: Emerging and Enduring Principles, focused on emerging models and evolving changes in library environments and community considerations that influence future library facility design.
The interactive class was attended by Librarians, Trustees and Architects from around the country. They completed a hands-on exploration crafting library spaces, heard from guest lecturers like David Leonard (Boston Public Library Director), Sarah Meilleur (Calgary Public Library), Shannon Wray (Quinn Evans Architects), and industry leaders Joe Agati (AGATI Furniture) and Bill Browning (Terrapin Bright Green).
